I found an article in USA Today that talks about a recent California Supreme Court case ruling that only the original author of web or blog comments can be sued for libel or defamation.
Basically, it says that if a blogger posts someone elses comments on his/her site, he is NOT exposing himself/herself to a potential lawsuit. This brings California in line with other states that upheld the 1996 Federal Communcations Decency Act.
Even Google, eBay, Yahoo and AOL weighed in on the side of free speech. Nice to know that bloggers can post controversial content with out the threat of legal action.
