Apex Invests in Adobe Audio & Video Editing Suite
9/5/07
As a result of the recent work with an international trade association, Apex has invested in a complete Adobe audio and video editing suite and a powerful workstation with 500 Gigs of hard drive space and 2 Gigs of RAM. This new suite is the latest offering from Adobe called the CS3 Production Premium Suite and includes: After Affects (moving graphics), Premiere Pro (video editing), Photoshop, Flash (motion graphics), Illustrator, Soundbooth (audio editing) and Encore (DVD authoring).
"Our new suite is one of the most impressive pieces of software that I've worked with. What used to require a $50,000 editing suite ten years ago, can be done far less expensively and is now within the budget of many trade associations and non-profits," says Stasch. "Clients that used to think that video was completely out of their budget, can now have us capture and edit footage from their training sessions, trade shows, expos, annual meeting and conferences very economically. These then can be repackaged to become a new source of revenue."
Apex recently shot more than 40 hours of video for the Industrial Fabrics Association International's annual EXPO 2007 in Las Vegas. There Apex captured footage from the keynote address, an international reception, a press conference, six symposiums and a pre-show event for architects. In addition, Apex spent many hours on the trade show floor interviewing exhibitors and attendees for marketing promotions.
"We are using this extremely powerful editing platform to combine elements like still photography, Illustrator graphics, audio recordings and video imagery. We expect to use this software to create training videos, documentaries, corporate promotions, ads and educational DVDs. This will be a boon for Apex Marketing Group and allow us to expand our business into areas that will be attractive to our customers," says Bruce Stasch, Director of Sales.
